My Top 10 “SpoonSavers” from The Pampered Chef

My Top Ten Spoonsavers From The Pampered Chef

My Top Ten “Spoonsavers” From The Pampered Chef

#1 The Easy Opener

Easy Opener

This tool is great.  It sticks to the fridge so I can always find it and allows me to open jars and bottles I otherwise couldn’t, due to pain and strength issues.  I imagine there are similar “openers” available, but I love the fact I can drop this one repeatedly and it has yet to crack or break.  It is very strong, sturdy and so easy to use.

#2 Twix-It Clips

Pink Twix-Its

Who doesn’t struggle with dropping open bags of chips or snacks?  Making a mess that just requires more clean-up.  I don’t know about you but squeezing those large “chip” clips is almost impossible for me (and they break so easily).  These “twix-it clips” are available full-time but if you order the “pink cancer” ones  $1 will be donated to The American Cancer Society.  We use them in about every room of house.  The variety in size is great!  The smaller ones seal the cracker packages, open seed packages, etc… while the larger ones seal craft supplies, open cereal, chips, mulch, etc…

#3 Egg Slicer

Egg Slicer

I enjoy tuna salad on a regular basis and the egg slicer is a wrist and hand saver.  I toss my egg in one direction then slice, turn it a 1/2 turn and slice again.  The egg pieces are perfect for tuna salad.  It can also be used for firm mushrooms, kiwi, bananas and my other favorite, sliced strawberries.

#4 Pampered Chef Pan Scrapers

Pan Scrapers

I use these for everything not just dishesCheck out my post on 15 Unusual Uses for a Pampered Chef Pan Scraper.

#5 Can Strainer

Can Strainer

If and when I am able to open a can, draining it can present an entirely new problem.  This strainer solves that problem and provides a much better gripping surface.  It can also be used to rinse tiny amounts of fresh fruits when you only want a small snack and have no desire to drag out the larger strainer.

#6  Small Bar Board

Small Bar Board

This cutting board is only 8 1/2″ x 6″ and so much easier for me to move around than the full sized ones.  The new boards have additional gripper sides to keep them steady on the counter.  It is easy to store and doesn’t weigh near as much as the full sized ones, so my wrists are very thankful for it.  (We actually own two.)

#7  Cookie Sheet

Cookie Sheet

This is something I just began using in the last few months.  I love it!  I have always used the stoneware, but it has become too heavy for me to handle without pain and risk of dropping.  So a few months ago we ordered this, and I have used it for everything.  It cooks evenly, has raised ends for easy gripping and is slightly larger than your average cookie sheet, so you don’t have to turn and put in quite as many trays (saving your back or at least mine).  Right now it is included in the 20% off metal bakeware and stoneware sale!  Even better!

#8 Oven Mitt

Oven Mitt

How many of you are constantly burning your wrists or dropping the hot pads you bought at the retail store?  I own a complete set of these and I don’t know how many times they have saved my hands or wrist from being burnt on the oven door, top or grate when I have stumbled or dropped something.  They are much heavier than any I have found in any store.  As much as I hate to admit it…they don’t burn quickly either….Thank goodness.  Yes, sometimes when I have a brain fog I will lay them on a hot burner or even once or twice a flaming one, and besides a browning of the edge touching hot surface no damage has been done.  (Do I suggest trying to set them on fire?  NO!  I am just saying I noticed that they do not flame immediately.)

#9  Any of The Nylon Utensils

I, personally, am fond of the mini nylon spatula, mix ‘n’ chop and nylon whisk.  Any of the nylon tools are great because if you are like me you tend to get easily distracted and leave your utensils in your pots and pans while cooking.  Most would melt, but The Pampered Chef nylon tools can be heated up to 428 degrees.

#10 The Double Skillet and Griddle

Double Burner GrillDouble Burner Griddle

Each of these cost a considerable amount of money, but have been so worth it!  Cooking for 5 people plus extras can sometimes take an eternity  awhile.  Using the double burner items allows me to cook in half the time or less and still have warm food when it is my turn to eat.  I am sure that there are others available, but I am fond of Pampered Chef products and used my hostess discounts to order these.

Pampered Chef has lots more great products (many of which I own), but I tried to stick to my ten favorite.

I want more twixits and a zebra towel!

Somewhere over the years I lost my mini spatula and need to replace it.

I enjoy using my Stoneware, esp. the large, lipped sheet pan. Great to put chicken and veggie parts on and let the oven cook for me.

Thank you for the lovely give-away 🙂 I love Pampered Chef! So hard to pick only one favorite. Perhaps my mandolin. I have been using that quite a bit recently to make zucchini noodles.

I love so much of it — about 10 years ago I used to sell it!! My favorites are the tiny knives( the little cheap ones — great for purse/ work) — the pan scrapers ( I use these for all kinds of cleaning/scrapping) and the pots and pans — they have held up great — and they help defrost frozen food (I swear!) Thanks for offering a give-a-way!!

I’ve never had any Pampered Chef products, but that cookie sheet you talked about sounds great. I LOVE to bake when I’m feeling up to it. That cookie sheet would make a great Christmas prezzie! 😀
