Sharing Sunday #19

During the month of May we have been sharing  E.D.S. Stories in our “Real Life Stories” Series.   I am thrilled to say that we were able to share 13 personal stories with social media.

We would love to have you share YOUR story as well.   Details on how and what we are looking for are found on our submissions page.

Our goal is to continue sharing at least one E.D.S. story a month to spread awareness and demonstate how it truly affects each and every one of us.

We are also wrapping up our online fundraiser on May 31st.  25-30% of all sales will be donated to fund EDS Research.   You may click here to learn more.

“Sharing Sunday” Link-up is available EVERY Sunday for blogs featuring articles that will help those with a chronic illness.

Anyone submitting their story by midnight CST May 10th will be entered in the drawing for an “Ask Me About E.D.S.” T-shirt.   All stories will be printed but the T-shirt winner will be announced May 11th.

Our goal is to continue sharing at least one E.D.S. story daily as we do our part to spread awareness and how it truly affects each and every on of us.

“Sharing Sunday” Link-up is available EVERY Sunday for blogs featuring articles that will help those with a chronic illness.

This linkup is not only for the chronically ill but for everyone that has a personal story, that offers help (allergen-free recipes and ideas), adaptation ideas, testimonials or anything that would be helpful or encouraging to others, (even sharing a day in your life).

The idea of the “Get The Word Out” link-up is to spread the word about our illnesses, adaptations, short-cuts, tools, articles, stories, recipes, income earning ideas, etc… and to support each other during this sometimes, lonely journey.

Bloggers struggling with pain and challenges can visit other sites, while non-bloggers can find others like them and follow along in addition to finding recipes, tips and adaptations that may help.

I LOVE fun, crafty, anything goes linkups but the “Sharing Sunday” Link-up is not one of those.

We will have a few guidelines to keep the links useful and uplifting to our readers.

OMG!  I am so excited!!!  Do you know what today is?  It is the first day of May!  The first day of EDS Awareness month.  The kick off to so many things!  Best of all an excuse to shout about our syndrome from the roof tops.

We Rock EDS Awareness Photo

Who wants to join us on spreading awareness through social media, schools, doctors, stories, TVs, news, signs and apparel?

Today we are sharing a T-shirt created JUST to spread awareness.   The front features the words  “Ask me about E.D.S.” the back is a surprise you need to click THIS LINK to see it.  Be sure to head over and check it out.   Order early to have it during the month of May!

Ask Me About EDS Med Front

We will also be sharing our “Simple Ways to Spread Awareness” List, memes, stories, videos, news articles and more so be sure to sign up for our email list and not miss a single post OR follow on Pinterest, Twitter and Facebook.

Our biggest goal this month is to have you, our readers, share your stories.  Long or short.  So that each day we are sharing a new story on the blog and internet.  So, if you have a story, video, article, a meme, artwork, awareness campaign or anything else to share PLEASE send it to [email protected] as soon as possible so we can share it with the world.  And yes, we have readers world wide.  We may be small but we span a wide space.   All stories submitted by May 10th will be entered in the drawing to win a FREE  “Ask Me About E.D.S.” shirt.   Winner will be announced May 11th.

I also want to share that we will be sending in $6.30 as our contribution to “Change For EDS” research.  Read more about what that is here.

What were you able to contribute this month?  Pleas share in the comments below to encourage everyone.

I am excited to share that our “Change For EDS” Jar collected $3.82 this month (it was a bit slow as we were watching EVERY penny and didn’t pull out too much cash…replacing wood floors will do that to you.)

On the other hand, if 1000 of us are donating our change each month that would be $3,820.00 towards research without feeling the crunch in our pocket.   How cool is that?

CHange FOr EDS

We have also begun sharing ways to spread awareness which we will link below AND we have found a great stay-at-home mom with a chronically ill son who is willing to make t-shirts on demand to support our “Change For EDS” cause.   We will be sharing those as soon as we receive the first proof.  I can’t wait!!!

Sharing Sunday Link Up #9

Before we begin this week’s link up I need to apologize for the last two weeks missing linkups and post updates.    My youngest daughter had another “episode” and required hospitalization while we were already out of town visiting family this and the need for me to keep a constant eye on her led to me letting the blog go for a few weeks.    The good news is that while she will never be perfect and could have an “episode” at any time she is improving from this “episode”.   (I share the story of her first episode below).     In addition to all of that I chose to begin a work from home business and have been trying to get it started while taking care of her.   A bit challenging at times.    Thank you for your patience and understanding as I try to fall back into the groove of maintaining life, business, home, therapy and our family’s health.
